But then I read it to my nearly three year old son. And we read it three times in a row the first night. And we read it every night afterwards (until I hid it for a break!) Mrs. Collywobbles lives near a big, dark, scary wood and the only that protects her is her frog. When scary creatures like a Greedy Goblin come out of the wood and try to steal her things the frog gobbles them up. My students loved this story even the unpredictable ending. Good for story time. This was a fun read a loud for my older intensive needs students. The four adults in the small group enjoyed it as much as our five students.
